Terms and Conditions of Participation for the Karaca Instagram Contest

  • 1 Organizer of the Campaign
  1. The organizer and responsible party of the campaign is Karaca Porzellan Deutschland GmbH, Vogelsangerweg 80, 40470 Düsseldorf. The organizer will hereinafter be referred to as “the Operator.” The contest is in no way connected to Instagram and is not sponsored, supported, or organized by Instagram. By participating in the campaign, the participant accepts these terms and conditions of participation.
  • 2 Campaign Period

    The first giveaway will take place on 26.09.2025 and will last for 24 hours – Start: 12:30 PM, End: 27.09.2025 at 12:30 PM. The date of the next giveaway will be announced separately.

    By participating, the participant expressly accepts these terms and conditions of participation. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or terminate the contest at any time without prior notice and without providing reasons.
  • 3 Conditions of Participation
    Participation in the campaign is neither subject to costs nor to the purchase of goods and/or services.
    Only users who are at least 18 years old and reside in Europe or Switzerland are eligible to participate.
    Employees of Karaca Porzellan Deutschland GmbH are not entitled to participate.
    The campaign is valid exclusively via Instagram.
    The operator reserves the right to exclude persons from participation in the campaign who manipulate or attempt to manipulate the participation process or the system and/or violate the terms and conditions of participation. If the excluded participant is involved, this may subsequently be recognized and a replacement winner will be drawn.
    The prize will only be shipped within the EU and Switzerland. Legal representatives, employees, dealers, and partners of the operator, as well as all persons involved in the creation and execution of the campaign and the family members of all the aforementioned persons, are excluded from participation in the campaign. Technical or other problems beyond the operator’s control are not subject to liability by the operator.
  • 4 Participation
    To participate in the contest, participants must:
  • Participation is free of charge
  • Download the Karaca App,
  • Take a screenshot of the downloaded app,
  • Share this screenshot in an Instagram Story,
  • Use the “Add yours / Füge deins hinzu” function,
  • Tag Karaca in the Story,
  • Ensure that their Instagram profile is public (not “Private”),
  • Each person may only participate once.

➝ Only participants who complete all the steps mentioned are included in the contest.

  • 5 Campaign Period (Weekly Rounds)
  • The contest takes place once a week.
  • Each round lasts 24 hours.
  • The total duration is 1 month (4 weeks).
  • 6 Prizes
    Among all participants, a total of:
  • In the first week, 3 winners will be drawn. The prizes are:

  • In the second week, 3 winners will be drawn. The prizes are:
    1x Karaca Swiss Crystal Almond Cream Induction-Based 7-Piece Cookware Set ,
    1x Karaca Caysever Robotea Pro 4 in 1 Talking Automatic Tea Maker Kettle and Filter Coffee Maker, Starlight,
    1x Earth Collection Galactic 55-Piece Dinnerware Set for 12 People – Black.
  • In the third week, 2 winners will be drawn. The prizes are:
    1x Karaca Multifry Inox XXL 7 litre Airfryer with digital glass window ,
    1x Karaca Compact Steel Sear and Grill Inox 2008 grill and toaster.
  • In the fourth week, 2 winners will be drawn. The prizes are:
    1x Karaca Elegance Bone Siena 53-piece 12-person Gold dinner set,
    1x Karaca Blendburst Kitchen Chef, Gray 1400 W

 

For the products provided as prizes, there is no right of choice regarding colors. A color selection by the customer is excluded.

  • 7 Selection and Notification of Winners
    Winners will be determined by random draw after the end of each 24-hour period.
    Karaca will contact the winners within 24 hours via Instagram.
    Winners must respond within 48 hours. If there is no response, the prize claim expires. If winners do not confirm acceptance of the prize within this time, their claim to the prize expires completely. A replacement winner will then be determined using the same procedure. There is no obligation to accept the prize.
    Participants are responsible for the accuracy of the contact details provided. In the event of incorrect allocation of prizes due to incorrect data, the prize claim expires.
  • 8 Prize Processing and Costs
    Cash payment of the prize value or an exchange of the prize is excluded. Prize claims may only be assigned or transferred to third parties with the prior consent of Karaca Porzellan Deutschland GmbH.
    The responsibility for any taxation of the prize lies with the winner. Should the operator not be able to provide the prize for reasons beyond its control, the operator reserves the right to deliver an equivalent replacement.
  • 9 Premature Termination
    The operator reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or change the contest at any time, even without notice, in whole or in part, if for technical reasons (e.g., computer virus, manipulation of or errors in software/hardware), legal reasons, or force majeure it is not possible to ensure the proper conduct of the contest. In such a case, participants shall have no claims against us.
  • 10 Miscellaneous
  1. Should individual provisions of the terms and conditions of participation be invalid or become invalid, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions shall remain unaffected. We reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions of participation at any time.
  2. Recourse to legal action is excluded.
  3. Only the law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing
When you participate, we process your data (Instagram name, age) for the purpose of conducting the contest and notifying you in the event of winning. This processing is based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Furthermore, we process the additional data of the winner (name, first name, address, and e-mail address) for the handling and dispatch of the prize. This processing is based on the performance of the contract in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Transfer of Data
We may transfer your personal data to other companies, for example for the shipping of prizes by delivery service providers. The basis for the transfer is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Any further transfer of data will only take place if you have expressly consented to the transfer or if we are legally or officially obliged to do so.

Storage of Data
The data of the participants will be deleted 30 days after the end of the contest. If you are one of the winners, your data will be stored as long as knowledge of the data is necessary for the implementation of the prize or legal or contractual retention obligations exist. Statutory retention periods arise, among other things, from tax regulations and extend up to ten years for tax-relevant documents and records.

What Rights Do You Have?

  • Access: You have the right to obtain information about the personal data we process about you and to request a copy of this data.
  • Rectification, Deletion, Restriction: You are also entitled to request the correction of inaccurate data or the deletion of data in the case of unlawful storage. If deletion is not possible for various reasons, you have the right to request restriction of processing or blocking of your data.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: You may revoke your consent to the use and storage of your personal data at any time and without giving reasons. To do so, a simple e-mail to datenschutzauskunft@karaca.com is sufficient. In the event of revocation, your personal data will be deleted immediately and completely. The revocation and deletion of your personal data will be confirmed to you by e-mail upon request. If the revocation takes place before the end of the contest, your data will be blocked until the end of the contest period in order to prevent violations of the terms and conditions of participation, in particular manipulation/fraud, and will then be permanently and irreversibly deleted after the end of the contest. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of consent until revocation remains unaffected.
  • Right to Object: Insofar as the processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (balancing of interests), you have the right to object to the processing of this data at any time. We will then no longer process this personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests worthy of protection, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
  • Data Portability: You also have the right under Article 20 GDPR to receive your data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
